University Business Society Logo

I have just started University and I'm after a logo for a Business Society.

First Part,

Needing a simple logo saying 'The Biz'
Looking for it to look business-like, perhaps a stock exchange arrow for the Z, something like that, nothing too cheesey, still needs to look simple and professional..

Prize $20 US

Second Part,

For the society but for personal use too.
Looking for a shield logo,
- broken into four parts consisting of a stock exchange style icon, bank of england, possibly a euro symbol or briefcase or pile of money, a pen or a book?

- needing it too look traditional but modern, possible colours, browns, blacks, gold or whatever you think is best,

- Could have a banner attached saying 'Aber Business School'

- could have a crown on the top or something, doesn't have to be if you think it's a bit over the top.

- could have a solid version and a broken version?

- possibly a 3D look to it?

Looking to get the first part done asap and the second 1 by the end of the week, depends on how many entries come in.

I might choose the winner of the first part asap and pay them first before paying the second part if it closes afterwards.

If you like the shield but not the banner I can obviously do some development on that, same goes for the shield, if ya dont like it, i can fix it.

to be honnest i'm not sure if your idea works for what i'm looking for, but thank you for the entry.

Part 1 - I really like! - it cleans, profession and you've clearly thought about the colours, thank you for the entry.

Part 2 - I like your entry for this too. Now that I can see the % symbol and the money bag, i'm not sure if these entirely work for what i'm looking for. Perhaps try replacing them with a pen, book or weights and measures? Thank yous.

Part 1 - I really like your entry, especially with the colour variations. It does make me think whether or not a bright colour would work. Thank you.

Part 2 - Although I really like the shield and the symbols that you have chosen, I'm not 100% on the banner, although I like the idea of there being a banner on your design. Perhaps a banner wrapped around the top saying Aberystwyth University and it wrapping down to the bottom saying 'Business School' - but you're the design, see what works best. thank you

Great feedback, thanks, im actually bed-ridden right now, so I have a couple of hours too work on it, though I hope to be well enough to go out tonight so, I shall start work now, and get back to you asap. (I knew the banner was kinda crap to be honest, lets not beat around the bush... its aawful! aha

)

Is there any suggestions for improvement on the first part entry. I went for a kind of, important business but still fun kinda look, is it too fun?? If you know what I mean.

EDIT: Just realised that the top of the bank icon is missing on the side of the entry sheet (not on the actual design). Cba to fix it, you know what its meant to look like, can see it on the design which is where its meant to be anyway.

Hi Josh, it looks really good but I don't what it is but the banner doesn't seem to fit it well. Perhaps making the banner a little wider? - and therefore the text a little larger so it stands out a bit more.

Is there any chance of making the banner look more like this: http://www.martinhughesportfolio.com...ciety-Logo.gif

and/or make the banner at the bottom of the shield fit better like the top one you so kindly added for me. You could try snaking it around from bottom to top if you know what I mean. It is ok to overlap the banner and the shield slightly to see if it looks better doing it that way..
