$25 logo needed for new startup

Hi,

I need a logo for my new startup citycheck.net.

It will be a website where visitors can rate different cities according to topics like environment, cost of living etc. - so far, only the scripts are finished and the frontend still has to be built.

The site will be very Web 2.0 like, easy interface, a lot of AJAX etc. - your logo will appear in the top right corner and will need to fit in a whole complex of the future website, so no stand-alone logo. The size is pretty much your choice, just make it reasonable - you know how websites normally look

The whole site will be built according to the color scheme and design of the logo - so choose wisely on what will fit best to the topic. It should consist of the domain name 'citycheck.net' / 'CityCheck.net and a slogan (20-30 characters, will need to be editable in .psd or whatever) and should include some graphic - just make it as Web 2.0 as you can

I know $25 is not much, but if your work is good we will most surely come back to you again when it comes to corporate design etc.

Here is my design. I tried to give it a sort of yellow pages type feel but obviously making changes such as the globe and pointer to give the idea that it's more for different cities and countries.

I believe the C or the globe with the pointer can be used as symbols for your website and can usually be used as a favicon. Added some business card samples and would be willing to give them for you as a bonus.

Thanks, I was quite hesitant to build these designs due to the low prize amount. But I can't help myself with promises of future work. I hope the CH enjoys them too =)

They all look good - you are already making it hard for me with only 3 suggestions

Hylith - the only concern I have is how to put your logo in the header - it is pretty high compared to its width, how would you imagine to embed it into a website? I am not saying it is impossible, I am just not creative enough to think about it

Is any one of you able to build a whole website template (header, top navigation, left navigation, footer, content with appropriate css) based on your logo? What would be the price?

I could also offer you advertising space in our footer that is linking to your portfolio. The alpha will be online in June and venture capital is almost guaranteed, so it would be quiet a good way to promote your business.

I would embed it as easily as I have placed it into the business card. I could talk to you about those services, of course that would go far beyond a logo into pretty much an entire website creation.
