Hi All,
I am looking for a logo for "The Cavan Centre"

What is needed:
• Of overall importance is that it should be something which indicates welcome, care, all- embracing, empowerment….
• Maybe something involving hands to indicate reaching out…helping…assisting.
• Must be simple, not fussy
• Colour – we have a bit of an affinity with a rich dark green as it reflects our rural oasis, get-away-from-it-all location
• Not sure if it’s appropriate to incorporate the text of our name with the logo – we will take guidance on this.
• We use a simple font for our headed paper etc - Bookman Old Style so if incorporating text, we are happy to keep to something similar.
Background:
The Cavan Centre is a voluntary, charitable organisation whose work is Community Development.
We provide resources for those who are marginalised and disadvantaged involving the provision of Outdoor Activities, Training and Respite Breaks. Organisations, groups and families who meet the relevant criteria come to us for short residential stays. The aim of our work is to enhance these people’s personal development and self esteem and to enrich their lives by providing a reprieve from the social, educational, economic or environmental disadvantage which is a feature of their lives. (Our facilities are accessible to all ages from young children to senior citizens).
We aim to provide a welcoming, caring, warm and homely atmosphere, accepting people as we find them and treating them with respect. In this way we aim to give hope to people who are perhaps attempting to rebuild their lives after substance addiction, homelessness or the death of a loved one through AIDS, addiction or crime.
An overall aim of our work is to empower people, through the positive experiences they have while with us, to make significant changes for the better in their own lives or communities.
Our location is in the countryside and we access local a local lake and forest as part of the activities we provide to groups who come to stay with us – in this way we provide a tranquil rural oasis for our visitors, as many of them come from large disadvantaged urban areas.
