Friends of Goose Pond

The Friends of Goose Pond is seeking development of a logo for our organization. The name on the logo will be "Friends of Goose Pond".

We invite you to submit your design, keeping in mind the following criteria:

1. Our audiences are: Hunters, Birders, and the General Nature Lover

2. The design should be simple, no more than 3 colors and easily reproduced for use on letterhead and possible products.

3. The design should downplay “Goose” but could possibly emphasize “Friends”

4. The following are offered as possible ideas to build upon, but are certainly not intended to limit your imagination, however these are images important to the area:
a. restored wetlands as depicted by cattails
b. a road between two bodies of water/a causeway
c. observation of wildlife and birds
d. a landscape in the background with more pronounced images in the foreground.

5. If your design in selected it will become the property of the Friends of Goose Pond organization.

Since we are a board of directors, the selection process may be time consuming and may not be until after our April 20th meeting. We also reserve the right to not select any of the designs.

A stipend of $75.00 will be awarded for the selected design

Is .ai format accepted? It's Adobe Illustrator, which can of course also be opened and edited in Adobe Photoshop. They are backwards compatible with no problems.

I am not real picky on the type of file, as long as I can open and edit it in the Adobe suite.

Hey Rebecca,

This is a nice attempt but not really the direction we were hoping to go with the logo.

The Friends of Goose Pond are looking for something more streamlined, so we'd like to stay away from heavy painted backgrounds and the like.

I look forward to seeing more submissions!

Katesrobyn we need all the submissions no later than March 30 because they have to first go before the committee in early April and then be presented to the board on April 20. No submissions will be accepted after the 30th.

I realize this but that's how it works. I don't see their being a lot of submissions though so if a few people put some great things together, they all have some awesome choices! We will also try to make a decision as quick as possible, so it may be sooner than the 20th!

Mr Nova, I like the concept. I think we were looking for something more solid colored but really, after discussion this may work! I would suggest that you got to one of the links I provided and get a picture of the goosepond for the use. We dont' have much green or tall out there! Great start though!

Now I am really confused. I thought the design had to stay within 3 colours? Can it be more than 3 colours, and are photos allowed in the design? Other than that, I love Mr. Nova's design.
