I do see what you mean and agree about the company name, but consider the simplicity of the most recognizable logos you can recall. It's marketing that burns that logo into ROM.

In any case, the point may be moot, because grøncomputer's nowhere to be found. Odd, since his extended deadline is supposedly tomorrow.

WoW, what an effort people has put in this contest

First I will ask for this contest to be extended with 4 hours (from 13:00 GMT to 17:00 GMT) and I hope everyone will use these 4 hours to modify their work.

Andy Pugh: The main reason for the short 2 letter logo is that we might think of expanding to the rest of Scandinia + Germany, where they luckily also have the word "grøn/green", but in Sweden it's spelled Grön, in Norway it's spelled Grøn or sometimes Grønn and in Germany it's Grün.

Lucy: Both of your last submits will probably make it to the finals, but I'm not really sure yet how this will fit into my current thoughts of how the website should end up looking like.

serandfae: I've been very busy today and haven't really had time to respond back to everyone of you. Your contribute is very good, the only thing missing is a higher quality example.

Brian07002: I will check your design and thank you for joining.

Xpress: 1) The last attemt is brilliant and could be used if it wasn't because it's too hard to see the gc connection, but if I had skills in flash I wouldn't hesistate to use your idea. 2) The logo where you connected the shopping cart and the letters is what I was looking for in the first place, but sadly the shopping cart kinda sucks in this version (you lastest logo has got a better and simpler shopping cart).

Mitcharr: First of all, thank you for joining the contest. I like the first logo very much except for the shopping cart which has to be different in some way. The letters are a little thin, but don't change it - instead make some effects to the background surrounding the letters (shadow, engrave it... do whatever you like, just make it look awesome).

nish7x: The shopping cart is by far the best I've seen, but sadly I don't feel the font and the shopping cart match very well. I believe if you should make a last try it would be to try a new font and forget about my recommendations and make what you believe look awesome.

OK, then, if you like the sketch, here's something more fleshed out, including my other recommendation:

The catchy thing, IMO, is the organic-looking "g" in contrast to the metallic "c". Note that the cart handle is intended to make the C resemble a power symbol, following your comment about having some element symbolizing green power. It's also a good way, IMO, to connect the cart with the C, also following one of the requirements. The computer in the cart is designed to look familiar while still being original.

xpressions: That last one is very very good, but the C has to be metallic or dark (not much, but it has to be somewhat different from the green "G"). Maybe you could make a shoutbox from the "C" saying "Computer" or "Grøn Computer" (you can use the word green rather then grøn).

nish7x: The last logo is good, but the G still doesn't fit with my thoughts on the design.

The contest will end in one hour, but you two (xpress + nish7x) will have a few hours to finish your current work.

Thanks, I've done my last try then, I'm not sure about what kind of font type you'd like, but if you have a specific choice then let me know, since if you atleast liked the basic design then the rest can be discussed over IM and edited, if you wish to go ahead with mine. I concur, unprofessionalism at the very least, these guys are creating you a logo at a relatively small rate, to put that into perspective, our company recently rebranded at a cost of £40'000... for a logo.. that in my opinion is no better than some of the creations they're making here.

You should take that into account Ulrik... show a bit of respect.

Coincidence? I don't think so. And I'd look closely at the reasons for the multiple complaints against him, along with his posts themselves in his threads that precipitated said complaints.

Honestly, had I looked more closely at his old info I'd have never participated in this in the first place. This guy is trying to scam WT members by hiding that info. Both of his accounts, by all rights, WT rules and his behavior here, should be banned.

I'd also caution members who have contributed to his threads to watch his sites for theft of unpaid content from these "contests" of his.
