Logo/Business Name: Backup Online

Business: Online Remote Backup (Secure) for business/application documents

The logo should be neat, clever and self explanatory.
It should be designed in such a way that its color can change if needed.
I would like to see the logo in a few colors and then decide on one myself.
NOTE: I would like the final logo to sit on different color backgrounds and still be readable.

The final output should be in CMYK at a resolution of 500pix/inch or higher.
When designing please put each part of the logo on a different layer, so we can edit later if need be.

Hi expressions,

Good first attempt, I preferred the very first one on the white background.

Below is a bit of feedback on it.

The Name is "Backup Online" (sorry if this was unclear)
The colors on the symbol look good & professional.
The font (o.r.b.) is not very readable though, maybe something more clearer? Remember the name is "Backup Online"

Overall the logo doesn't look like a "Secure Online Backup" logo , only for the text underneath in small writing I wouldn't know what it was.
I would like the logo to describe the business to the viewer.

Hi all,
Some feedback.

I would also like people to explain a little bit what thier logo means. Ie. the symbol they are using. What relevence has it to backup online storage.

Xpressions : The first logo is not clear enough.The ORB one. The second one's is much better. But you would need to explain what the relationship the 3 circles in different colours has to backup online. I like the Secure Remote Backup tag line. and also the second symbol. But goo attempt.

I like the tag lines
Secure Remote Backup
And
Online Remote Backup

Maybe we could have "Secure Online Remote Backup"

Andy Pugh : I like your first one a lot. It simple. One colour. Easy to change. You listened to the brief. Can you explain what the circle and square symbol has to do with online backup.

With thesecond one. The tree effect. Maybe if tree was smaller and to teh left and thier was arrows pointing from above the 4 boxes going up the single box on its own, it might make more sence.

The first set definitely better than the second one.

Nightvision : Sorry Night vision. It not self explanatory and is orb instead of Backup online.

Lucy Chase: Yes, excellent ideas here. They are a little bit too much like databackup.ie though.

Hi Hector,
I went for a globe with 2 hard drives in an icon format, I felt it fitted the idea of backup while letting the customer know that it's available from anywhere. I have done a few more with your suggested change of tagline.

I got a question, I know it doesn't relate directly, but why would someone do an online 'remote' backup if that's how viruii spread is from online in the first place? I guess people will try to fall for anything at least once. Give 'em credit for something.

Maybe I over reacted here, maybe what you mean is that you will put a website up for people to create their backup, then you will pull that drive from your server when it's full or something, then guarantee that their files are in tact, or something like that I guess. Still not secure to me...Secure to me would be to put your files on backup before connecting to the internet...It's amazing how people think, isn't?
