Wanted: An amazing Logo for my pet sitting business, paying $75 to the winner!!

Hello everyone! I started my own pet sitting business early in this year. I offer pet sitting at MY home or I also go to the client’s home and pet sit there. I also provide dog walking and doggie daycare services. I will also pick up their pets and drop them off if they live close by.

I am offering $75 for a really great LOGO payable by Papal. The name of my business is:
Pets Are My Family

This logo will primarily be used for print advertising such as business cares, flyers, and maybe other items such as hats and t-shirts.

I do not have a specific color requirement, however I do prefer green and brown. To get an idea of the theme and feeling I have already started with, please visit my website at:

As far as the logo design goes, I prefer an organic/nature type feeling, where there are no hard edges, lines or square boxes. I would really enjoy something elegant and artful. I would also really prefer the logo to reflect the name: Pets Are My Family. If you can fit in my slogan: Personalized pet sitting at your home or mine, that would be great, but if it gets too busy then I would probably not like it. Maybe you can shorten it to Professional pet sitter or something else creative that conveys my services. I usually do not prefer cartoon type logos, because most seem very busy to me. Of course I am open to any logos that don’t necessarily meet all of this criteria if they happen to strike me as something I didn’t think of, but still has the look and feeling I am after.

As far as font goes, I am not too picky, but I would like something that is not too bold or loud for the majority of the logo. Using 2 different fonts in the logo is fine and may even be prefered. Again please refer to my website to see the current font I choose for my business name, but please don't feel you have to use that font, it is just what I picked. You might have a much better idea/suggestion for font type that conveys: Pets Are My Family.

Although I pet sit all animals and would like to refer that in my logo, I do not want it to be too busy or cluttered. I would like to keep it simple, with still being able to convey the meaning that ALL pets are my family, if possible. I was thinking maybe a family circle or a family tree; I don’t know something related to my title. I guess that is the challenge for you all to figure out.

I am so excited and cannot wait to see what you all come up with!

PS: I have included some examples of Logos that I really like!! As you can see most of my examples tend to be black and white logos. I do like color but not over used too much or it becomes too busy in my opinion.

Chubbell, thanks for submitting a logo, however it is not really what I was looking for. I don't get an organic/nature feel from it, nor do I get the feeling that your submitted logo reflects my business name.

Also I really do not care for the font. The M in My and the M in family look like 2 different fonts. And the word Pets looks like a different font all together. I also feel like the logo is all over the place, (very long and very wide) you have stuff coming off the top of the name and below it. To me it seems like you just went to my website and copied the logo I have at the moment (sticking a pet on top of my business name.) I also do not like the placement of the website, it looks like it was just thrown there on the bottom.

I am sorry to be so critical but to be honest, I am a little sad and disappointed that you only spent 15 min on this. I am paying good money for "an amazing logo," and this logo will be representing myself, my profession, and my business for many years to come. Please submit logos with more time, thought, and effort put into them. It would really be appreciated. Thank you very much.

Thi is just example i mean u can add more than one pet in the house or your pic with pets etc

colors and font can be change on your request.. as u have written that u required black and white... so i designed in black and white color

thanks for the feedback. i was just going off of the examples you gave and the current one for your site. do u want a complete different logo i take it? also the fonts are all the same, but your right about the m's.

this was just a rough copy for you to let me know what you wanted, i wasnt about to spend a week on something that was headed in the wrong direction. now i know what your wanting better, thanks.

Chubbell - Thank You for understanding my point. Yes I want a different logo than what is on my website. The reason I posted my website address and asked people to go there was just to get an overall feeling of how the entire website feels and flows, not to look at my current logo. The examples I posted are more along the lines of what I like. As I said, if possible I would like as many animals as there can be without looking to cluttered, so I can portray the feeling that ALL pets are my family. Also I did not write that I "require" a black and white design. In fact I DO like color, I just did not want it overused and cartoon like. Maybe just some accent color, or color used tastfully. Please re-read my original post, I felt like I gave many details about the look and feeling I would like my company logo to have.

Handsome - Thank you for your submission. I like the first one with all the animals. I do not really like the font that Pets Are My Family is in though. Also on the tag line you forgot the word pet, as in personalized "pet" care. I know on my website it doesn't have the word pet, but I since decided that I wanted the word pet in the tag line and I did not bother changing it on my website because I knew I wanted a new logo. Also maybe with the way you designed that logo you could put some of the animals stepping on the business name sort of like in the example above with Braxtons. My husband liked your house idea and I do as well. Maybe you could do another one kind of combing the idea of the first logo with a few animals inside the house or by using black and white images that reverse each other, kind of like the example above: paw prints where the dog and cat are inside the house. I really like that idea because it is easy to see from far away. Thanks again for your submission, you are along a good track.

I forgot to mention that this logo with all be displayed on a magnet that will be on both sides of my car door, so being able to view it from a distance would be great too!

LucyChase - Thank you for your submission. I do like the idea you have going with the many pets, however I do not like the human figure. In my opinion it makes the logo too tall. Also if a human figure was going to be used in my logo, I would like it to be a closer representation of me. :-) I sort of like the brown box you used to put the name in, but I do not like the sides, maybe paw prints would look nicer that that flowery thing on the ends. But I do know where you were coming from using it, it kind of is suppose to look like a plaque, I am just not that fond of it. As far as the fonts, I kind of like the first one better (easier to read) although I do still not love that font, it is one of the better fonts I have seen so far. LucyChase - I like that one! It is very nice indeed! The only thing I am kind of iffy on is the blue sky. I don't really care for the color blue even though I do like the sky idea. Can you maybe do something like a sunset with rays of brownish, orangeish, or yellowish? Something like that? Also maybe the green grass can be texturized a bit more or something done with the grass to make it not so flat looking. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the animals, that looks super! Where did you get all those animals from? Stock images somewhere? One of the dogs I would like edited a little bit if I choose your design for my winner.

Also can you maybe change the tag line font to something more standard like the font you used for your first logo submissions, I liked that tag line font better. Thank you for your second submission, I like it MUCH better.

I was also thinking instead of the sun idea, (or in addition too) maybe you could make green leaves coming down from the top and sides and have all of the animals on a light brown dirt ground kind of like they are all in the forest. I would love to see that!

Hmmmm another thing I just thought of: although I really love the horse in the logo, I live in an area where there are A LOT of horses. I do not want people to think I am just a horse business and since the horse is the first thing they see, they might think that. Maybe you can replace the horse with a siloette of a women with long hair maybe sitting down with the animals around her? Something like that. What do you think about that? Or maybe just work it so the horse is smaller like he is in the distance? I really like the bird hanging off of the horses tail, and I do like the idea of your design.

Mix - Thank you for your submission, however I am sorry to say your entry looks a little too cartoon-like for my tastes. It is cute, but just not what I am looking for. I am curious, did you draw that dog yourself?
