Hi guys. I just want to remind everyone to please use the itrader system. I am trying to go through and give negative feedback to the contest abandoners so that they do not return with more bad contests.

Please leave feedback for your positive and negative experiences. This helps build up the reputation for our good members who complete their contests and helps prevent the "bad" contest holders from wasting your time again.

I know things are not so great right now with the contest section. Things WILL get better. and I want to thank all of our great members who stick around and produce great designs, and our great contest holders who follow through on their contests!

**UPDATE AS OF 9-25-2008**
In response to the many abandoned contests we have experienced recently, I will be adding iTrader ratings to some Contest Holders.
If a contest has ended and a winner has not been announced within about 2 days, I will make an attempt to contact the CH (btw - I have already been doing this since I have been a mod - although I admit I miss some contests and sometimes it is longer than 2 days). If we have still not heard back from the CH about a week after I have attempted to contact them, the CH is subject to receiving negative iTrader rating from me noting that the contest holder abandoned their contest, plus any helpful/important details. If a contest holder does come back after I have given negative iTrader and successfully completes the contest (or gives good reasoning as to why they did not complete the contest), I will change my negative iTrader rating to "neutral". I will most likely still leave my comments on the rating, but update them with the new details.
Hopefully this will allow our designers to easily avoid contests started by contest holders who have proved unreliable in previous contest. Also, I hope this seems fair to contest holders as well. If you have questions or concerns about this, please post here or PM me.
Thanks!

Hi RNHalawi!
Someone else also brought this to my attention. I don't have access to change that, but I have asked an admin to change it for us.
Thanks!

I took another look to see if I missed something earlier, but either I can't find how to add iTrader to that forum or I don't have access to the tools.

Hopefully Tim or Lee will notice soon and get things working.

Sounds good on your update. I think it will help people decide which contests to enter and which to stay away from.

Nice idea Angel but i think i have a better , and more radical idea. I say we open anew Sticky thread, with the name Hall of Shame. There to be posted bad participants to contests like this:

Username: xxxxxx
Name: xxxxxx xxxxxxxx
Website: xxxxx xxxxxx
Contest name : xxxxxxxxxxx
Reason: xxxxxxxxxxx
That would serve not only to us, but the bad guy will be ashamed for the rest of his website`s life

Ghiavolu - That would definitely be effective and would shame the "bad guy", but maybe it is a little too harsh???

True, but that would help with CHs that create new accounts for new contests.
