Pain Medication PDA reference

Cunning Designers,

This contest is very similar to the last that I just started. It's for another background image for the title screen of a free medical e-book I'm designing that will be used on PDA's (Palm, PocketPC).

This ebook is a reference for pain medication dosing. Appropriate images would include pills, capsules, syringes, IV bags and drip tubing, pharmacy-related graphics, images related to pain.

I'll be layering text over the top of the image so it can't be too dark. Just like the last one, I'm not looking for anything too complicated or fancy just something that's visually appealing and catchy.

I'll close this contest early if I get a submission that I like. If you're starting to work on something, please post so I don't close the contest while you have a submission you're in the middle of working on.

So what is the difference between this and the other one?

The other is about skin creams, lotions and ointments used for skin rashes.

This one is about pills, patches, shots, and intravenous medications given for pain relief.

Other than the subject matter of the ebook, there is no difference. Of course, they're not at all interchangeable. Images relevant for dermatology (a tube of skin cream) wouldn't apply for the pain medication ebook (pills, shots, etc.)

Kerrick - I like it! How about four panels with the additional two being of pills or pills bottles?

Ninjax - I like the photo. Better if you could somehow incorporate injectable medication (ie. a syringe, a vial). The reference is focused on converting doses from pills to injection and vice versa. Including images of both routes of drug administration would be ideal.

Kerrick,

That's looking great. I find the filmstrip edges down the middle distracting. This will work great for me if you could you remove all of the film strips edges, bring the photos together in the middle and use some other border around the right/left edges. I'd also be interested in seeing a color version if it's not much extra work.

The degree of washout on the second one is good. I can make the final adjustments to this myself.

Kerrick - Great re-submission. I liked it a lot.
But I also like Hexation's entry. I have to defer to my wife's eye for design - she chose Hexation's design. So we have a winner abd the contest is closed
