BanHomework.ORG Banner Needed

So you already know the name of the site, if you look below in the little box, you will find more information - I am not really fussed on the color scheme, just as long as it doesn't contrast the site design, have a look if you need to. I would like to see it kind of cartoony logo-wise, but not the font, so something still quite smart. Of course whatever image(s) you use in the banner will need to have something to do with either homework or school/students.

What I don't want to see is a picture of something with a big cross through it (taking the word and putting it in image form), I think it should just remain as professional as possible. I also don't want to see it anything like it is now... red just doesn't work and I don't need the text 'BanHomework' stuck in the middle of the image in that font, but I know you'll be much more creative in using the website's name (which I would like to see, but doesn't have to be) in the image.

You definitely need to stick with the dimensions I have provided below! Other the banner will not fit in with the website design, prize is $20 USD and this competitions closes on the 15th (of this month).

PS: If you can come up with/would like to put in a motto, feel free to, I don't really have one, but would like the PSD file just so I can change it if need be.

I didn't really want to see any red, I'm not too sure on the font and the graphics either.

Wow, that's great - you've definitely got the right idea there Agrias. Though there is no need for the border, if you have a look at the site, it's actually the DIV doing the work there.

One question though, is it possible to change the text in the PSD? By the text I means the left hand-written stuff.

I like the font you used for the ban and it's great how you've decided to use two fonts for that, but I think the second font for 'homework' needs to match a little more with the 'ban' font. Not colour-wise or grunge effect wise, but just general shape, moving the main title to the left a bit then just expanding that font (or using another) to make it look slightly more together. Right now I just see an emphasis on ban where as I'd like to even it out just a bit more.

Ninjax; I like the font you've chosen for the 'ban homework', but I seem to like the effect the others have used with greens/browns, I'd probably lean more that way.

Gx3Grafix; I really like the character you've used in your design, the green colour also works well, but I don't think the character suits its surroundings, maybe using that character but leaning more towards how Agrias has designe his with a grungy effect that really makes you look at the words 'ban homework' rather than the blackboard. But stick with the green though unless you go brown, I don't mind at all.

Agrias; I think I like version two better, but you removed the bit of stuff (whatever it is) up the top middle of your first version, I think maybe not exactly that, but maybe smaller portions in different places on the banner would make it look a little more exciting. There isn't really anything else, what I am trying to think of is something that can replace the butterflies, they seem a bit out-of-character, maybe you could think of something.

Also just a question regarding the text on the left side, is it possible for me to request something else go there?

Abbas22; I like the white text you've chosen, as well as the brown coloured background, but I think it would be wise to increase the size of the font and maybe choose some different graphics, I'm not too ken on the clipart.

Kerrick; The brown on the background is good, but I think it needs to be a little more 'radical'. Maybe a different style/brush... as well as the colour of the board, I think it should be a grunge grey. The text is good how it is, I'll have a look after you've made some more changes.

it's an image, when you have the psd, you can just remove it.

- So you want the butterflies removed?
- maybe a few more effects, right?
