I cannot say if this will help your LP quality scores at all but this is my personal Landing page formula when I start to build a new page.
1) Catchy headline - Many times my headline asks a question. Right now you would probably stop and read a webpage that had this headline I would presume..
"Are You Maximizing the Potential of Your Landing Pages In Adwords?
If Now Your Quality Score is Costing You Thousands of Dollars!"
2) I include at least 2-3 highly relevant text links within my landing page adcopy and always link a call to action phrase too.
3) I always add a list of benefits to my landing page. You can create bulleted lists here. Most viewers will look atthis right after your headline no matter where they fall on the page. Make them good and relevant to the keyword you bid on.
4) Add at least 1 large solo link to your landing page with your keyword phrase in it worked into a call to action phrase. make this a larger font and center it. If you use one put it at the end. If you use 2 put one in the middle and one at the end.
5) Always use black text on a white background as your main format. I throw a picture that has something to do with my offering on the right and throw my first paragraph of text next to it. I have a second paragraph of text following with a second picture to the left.
As with everything, make your keyword that you bid on prominent on the page. Include it in your headline, include it in your text links, your benefits list and your solo links. You could even include it as your hidden text for the graphics too. That won;t hurt ya!
