Bonjour,

I have a new product with a new site. The target is pretty wide, any adult can buy my product. I do believe in a strategy of exposure. The more visitors I will get, the more sale I will make. Can I get an average of 5 cents a click for my campaign? If I could make 1 sales per 200 Clicks, this will cost me this way 10$ cost of sales and this will allow me to do a lot more on Adword again...

Did you guys had any chance to explore this strategy of very wide range of keywords for a cheap exposure?

Should I go content and search ad or search results only?

Any Advise is welcome.

MERCI!

I would prefer more targeted keywords rather than cheap ones.

Look for long-tailed kws... these typically will have low traffic but also low CPC. But make sure to get targeted kws only... and yes its possible to get kws for 5 cents... I've run campaigns with 2 cents kws also, but it also depends on the industry that you have the product for.

Content searches can come much cheaper but they normally convert very low so its advisable to turn off content network.

Hope this helps.

You'll only be able to get cheep keywords if they correspond with your content along with a couple of other factors. For example I may be able to get a keyword for a dime that you could get for 2 cents if your click through rate is higher. If Google is going to collect a dollar a day from only one of us they would rather do it when it appears that your customers are having a higher conversion rate then mine, even though it will take more clicks to get there...the happier you are the more you'll spend.

As far as your $10 per customer acquisition goes, don't you think that is kinda high, unless of course your average profit per purchase is very high. Personally I like to spend under $1 per email address addition and under $5 per completed purchase. - And I'm selling a product where the profit is high and high level of customer return.

The content network is terrible. It's almost worse than the new broad match system their using. Everytme I use the content network I feel like I'm throwing money out the window.
