I keep hearing about people making money with Ad-words. They link to a site(affiliate site) through there affiliate link and after so many clicks they get a sale and then make some profit. Unlike a normal job it goes on 24/7.

Just wondering if anyone here had any experience with Ad-words because I was thinking of trying it out.

Although affiliate marketing is real, I'd speculate that many of the "I made $1,000" overnight schemes are scams.

However, try clickbank.com as a place to start with affiliate links.

Let me know how you get on!

I am registered with clickbank,cj and linkshare. They all have affiliates I could send people through a google add with. I just wondered if anyone here made any money doing it. Clickbank has all kinds of people with write ups that probably would make sales.

I'm quite interested in ppc > affiliate... investment.

If anybody has any success stories, I'd love to know.

Getting rich overnight is not going to happen.

The way to make money is have a good product or service and sell it. Adwords definately works for that sort of thing.

Well, EZ Publishing bundles a free $25 credit for Adwords with their web hosting. They also bundle the StreamSend permission-based email marketing with the package. Their hosting packages are excellent deals as you get a lot and good service.

The $25 Adwords credit will get you started. As for Adwords, I have been successfully using it for awhile so would be happy to answer your questions.

Basically find some niche keywords, set a daily budget, and a maximum amount you want to pay per click. Also, define your goal. Is it to get leads? Is it to get direct sign-ups? And make sure you track the goals so you know exactly how well Adwords is working for you.

I recommend going to the Adwords FAQ and so on as well, as Google has some decent documentation.

I like the $25 adwords voucher with free hosting - experience seems to be the way to go, but with every mistake costing money, it's not easy.

EDIT: Hmmm, I worded that strangely to give the impression they were offering free $25 hosting before. Must get some sleep.

Just to clarify, it is a free $25 Adwords credit that comes complimentary with the hosting.

Reminder: It is against Google's Guidelines to share the dollar amount earned through the Adsense Program. By sharing your earnings you risk having your account closed.

I've been really disappointed by Google Adware actually. Looking carefully at my stats, i understood that adware visitors were less valuable compared to visitors who find my website directly in the free listing. It means that these "adware" visitors didn't use to stay more than 1 minute. Moreover, if you got bad competitors , they can click several times on your ad to make you pay !!!

We have a few PPC affiliates promoting stores that we are involved in. These send visitors straight to us from Adwords (and Overture, Mirago etc) via affiliate links.

A couple of these are amongst the top affiliates for those sites and earn respectable incomes from our program alone - and I am sure they are promoting more merchants that just the sites I am involved with. So, I'd have to say "Yes it does work and yes you can make money from it".

Hi all! New to the forum...

I can without a shadow of a doubt attest to the fact that people are making money with Adwords...

They are making money with affiliate programs... whether that's driving traffic straight to the merchant or building their own sites and landing pages.

They are making money driving traffic to their own products and services...

I myself promote a huge amount of products and services using PPC. My own and as an affiliate.

Once you master Adwords, it can become a very powerful tool in all your endeavors. I've even used it to build communities and populate Email lists.

Adwords can be a business in and of itself or it can be used in concert with other marketing methods.

Is it easy to learn? No. There is a learning curve and only the most devoted and dedicated get to a place of profitability. Like any business online, one must spend money to make money and work hard!... but once you get past break even, it's a beautiful thing.

Hope that helps! (now time to find New Member Intros to officially introduce my self... )

Hi Matt,

Maybe you can give us a quick overview of what you're talking about with adwords and affiliate products? You know, the basic steps etc.
