I have just started using adwords to promote my Forum Promotion website (http://www.forumpromotion.co.uk) and my Forum Promotion Forum (http://forum.forumpromotion.co.uk)

What I want to know is how succesful have you been with adwords and what tips can you give me to get the most out of my campaign.

I tried it once, but the amound of money you put in, its not worth it.

I have had great success with adwords, but I am not sure if it would be cost-effective to promote a forum within adwords, depending on your business model. One of the major things that adwords offers that most PPC engines don't, is a ranking algorithm that places sponsored listings (based on CTR & CPC). This allows for the smarter marketers to get a higher rank in the search engines, while keeping their CPC down. So I suggest that if you are looking for some quick & dirty traffic, go for it.
