Our boss are thinking to pay for aswords. However, we never pay for that before, so we don't know whether it will brings much valuable visitors to our website, and we have idea of the budget we need to pay. How much for one click?

Depends on what you are actually selling.

The price is not static for adwords so can not say anything with out seeing your full site.

Although it is good to use adwords for getting visitors.

Adwords can be incredibly expensive, or cheap. It all depends on which ad position you want. My personal experience is that I get more for the ad positions 2-4 than for position one. This is most definitely because of the key words I'm targeting, and that it's way cheaper.
For position one targeting youtube as a keyword, I had to pay aproximately 0.50$ which is way too much.
But for position 2 my General cost / click is 0.06$. A huge difference.

Adwords can cost a lot of money.

if you are willing to spend £/$1000's then maybe look at getting an ad broker / adwords management team to deal with your account.

You can easy spend £5000 on adwords and get little to zero gain from it..

You can spend £4000 on it and £1000 on an adwords broker and gain massively from it.

Some body needs to always watch your account and better to find an experienced person to take care of it otherwise you end up spending more than you should

Does anyone promote on adwords? No. I think about 2 people at most. Google is thinking of filing for bankruptcy.

It didn't really work for us, but it might work for you.
You can always try, there are a lot of coupons around and you can always spend a little to see

Then you must insist it to your boss. It is your right to be paid.
