How much do you spend on Adword p/m ?

I am new to Adword and i heard alot of internet marketers are spend first earn later via Adword...

Juz curious to find out how much you guys are spending on Adwords and the return is it profitable... Assume one ppc at 50cts x 10 visitors around $5 dollar and the commission earn is $50 then really worth it but understand the possiblity of going RED with Adwords as well

Hi,

My own personal spend varies.

I'm always starting new campaigns and I tend to over price the bids on those to start with just to build up the CTR.

Once you have a good CTR (and providing your keyword has a high quality score) you should see the click price fall whilst the ad position remains high.

Works for me every time.

Have to concur...that's the way it works for me, as well. There's so many variables when it comes to how much to spend that it's difficult to put a price tag on. I can tell you that when I first started, I put my budget at $100.00 a month and sort of "tested the waters". That helped keep my costs affordable and allowed me to experiement and see what worked, what costed more/too much, etc.

I spend about $50 a month, mine is not a competitive word so it is still affordable and the results are still quite good

Start small and work your way up, there is always the possibility of "going red' thats why you start a campaign small, test, tweak and optimize and when its converting best ramp it up. Adwords isn't something you set and forget you have to keep a CLOSE eye

I have not tried adwords yet, as i work on SEO and organic traffic rather than PPC marketing.

At one point a few years ago I was spending around $500 per month when I was producing leads for an mlm company, but now it's probably less than $40 per month now. PPC has not been that good to me and I've been committed to taking a whole new look at things to learn that aspect of affiliate marketing.

One of these days I'm going to get the hang of it and the sky's the limit. Been reading a lot of Amit Mehta's stuff and it is making me think quite differently about what I've done in the past.
