Hi,
Check this site www.phpjoint.com

If you check the google ads displayed in between , you can find that sometimes it lists ads related to Knee Joints, Arthritis etc., instead of PHP related ads.

What could be wrong here?
I have given the proper keywords for all the pages and the site uses Mambo.

Your thoughts please on how to correct this issue..

regards.

It's the word 'joint' in the domain. Is the site new? If so I'd say give it some time for mediabot to learn more about your content and understand better what the site is about.

You may end up getting those ads from time to time though I wouldn't worry about it too much. I bet they pay more per click than PHP ads.

You could try section targeting to see if you can make the ads more relevant too.

I have the same problem with my SEFL website, because I use the word "column" to describe layouts. Google thinks it has to do with architectural columns.

I have pointed this out in the past to big G, and they corrected it in the short run, but the ads still pop up from time to time. You may have luck pointing this out to them...but I doubt it.

The other thing you can do is to employ Adsense section targeting. This should help somewhat, but it likely won't work in all cases (it hasn't for me).

I think the best solution is plenty of content that is rich with your keyword (PHP). I had the same problem with my programming blog "The Coding Pad" because of the word Pad in my name and domain name. I kept getting ads for Pads, Note Pads, and other kinds of pads. After a few days and adding content, I started getting relevant ads. I still occasionally get irrelevant ads but now most time they are relevant to PHP, MySQL, etc. I didn't do anything else, just added lots of content.

Hope this helps.

Yes, I have a page called "tools" (should have made it health_tools or something) and even though words pertaining to health/fitness/exercise are peppered thru out the entire page, I still get ads for MAN TOOLS (lol) like Craftsman, etc. It never did work itself out so I just put another ad there instead of the Google ad...and learned a lesson about naming pages!
