when you make more than a number of posts, you don't see the ads, but they still display to other people

I went to my G Adsense account and generated a report for it:

I made (Aug 11, 2006 - June 18, 2007) $1.98

You made that much from it. Wow, I think I will join it right away before I do anything else. lol. That's not much, but then it's better than nothing I guess. I don't really bother with it to be honest. I just use the forums for information.

LIke if we post good topics in this forum, then there are more chances for displaying our add and more chances to earn some bucks.

yup i agree if you post a eye catching thread i bet you will earn minimum $5 per day.

I agree that if you have a good tread and it gets more people looking at it then there is more chance they will click on the ads, plus what about if CPM ads get shown aswell.

I should point out that posting articles here for the sole purpose of getting the adsense impressions or getting your signature seen is a sure fire way to build up a horrible reputation here. Furthermore, copying articles off of other people websites and posting them here verbatim is a sure fire way to receive infractions from myself or another mod.

In other words, this community is rather intelligent and if you post solely for this purpose people will start ignoring your posts and you won't get that coveted $5 a day.

I don't think that posting to this forum will give you 5$ a day (not even 2), because almost all the members here are Adsense blind. So, they just ignore ads and this means that you won't receive much because they simply ignore the ads.

just to add to Republikin's post;

One member has just earned a temporary ban for posting copyrighted material as articles.

Any more occurences and the banning will NOT be temporary.

Some members may be blind, but I would say that more people come to these forums and look at them from the major search engines than what members look at them.

Anyway I would like to say that all of my posts are not copied from anywhere and are written from myself from what I have learn't over the years of doing affiliate marketing. I do not take part in the Adsense Rev Share Program as I feel that this forum deserves all of my earnings for providing such a great forum which has a wealth of useful information.

Maybe you're right, but remember who is searching for this forum using SE's ... they're web masters almost all the time, who are normally adsense blind. This doesn't mean that the forum will not receive any clicks at all, but it means that you (using revenue sharing program) will unlikely get 5$/day from it.

I'll keep it purposefully vague to avoid breaking the Adsense rules but just keep in mind that I have over 3000 posts here and I make at most a few cents a week.

I didn't really say that you could earn $5 a day. I just said that a large majority of people come from the search engines. I also know you don't make much on Rev Share Forums. Even if you did I still wouldn't really take part as I only use them to learn new things and discuss about stuff that I'm interested in which is webmaster stuff.
