i dont know why people loves adsense.
i like adbrite.
I know adbrite adds are not that much smart as adsense but adds are managable.

(May be it is known by most of members but for them who dont know, I share it)

Here are easy steps to earn a smart amount with adbrite

1. Create AdZone with good keywords and nice description.
2. Uncheck Auto Aproove network adds.
3. Now just wait for offers.
After some time, you will recieve some offers.review them, check how much they gona pay per click or impression, only aproove the adds that pays better PPC or PPM. (Multiply the amount by 0.75 and this is what u gona get)

I approved more then 10 adds that pays 5 $ per click or more.
adds which pay 0.5 to 4 $ i simply rejects them.

For me, Adbrite ROCKS

I have tried Adbrite before, but unfortunately, they didn't even show ads on my website except their own.

But you're saying to wait and give them some time? how much should I wait?

Well adbrite dont shows add again on same Computers
wait for atleast one weak and u will see the magic.
it is really worth trying
in start, i approved adds of which gives me 0.50 to 1.00 dollors.
then in some days, they offer me some big rates like 5 dollors per click or so..
so i think u should wait and watch

It would be great if it worked like you've describe it above. I will give it a try and see how things go.

I tried Adbrite in the past, but was not very convinced by it, although i might give it another go, see how i get on with it!!
