What are peoples views on using small ad blocks..

I have just started the site:
http://www.tucked-up.com

and i only have room for small ad blocks.. Does anyone have any success with these??

Normally, large ad outperformances the small ad block. But it is site-specific.

I have also add a little button ad on the top left of every post in my blog.

I'd use the Medium Rectangle (300 x 250) ad format. This is one of the highest performing ad formats for me. I'd also change the border to black to match your background.

my adlink units do ok compared to the other ad units, and they are available as a horizontal or vertical list and don't take up much space, might be worth a try
