I've re designed all my site (thank to your feed back) and I think it looks much better now but My CTR is very LOW
Please help my, I've tried many things but my CTR is still very low
I don't think telling my CTR is allowed by TOS but trust me it's low.
Please help me to increase my CTR.

http://www.tutorialsroom.com

Please notice that many of my visitors reach the site to tutorials directly (not through the home page) so please recommend placement in any of the inner tutorials as they are all the same template.

I will try your suggestions and reply back in this thread so this help all other members who have low ctr like me.

Your biggest problem may well be your target market. Web geeks tend to be more aware of advertising and less likely to click through as a result.

Personally, I think your placement is fine. The ads blend in well and they're in places that should be relatively hot.

But I think not all my target market is web geeks, not all my tutorials are about web hosting, it also has windows tips, Photoshop tutorials, video tutorials so I think "average" users are involved too!

Those are all still people who are technically savvy, and therefore subject to the same level of awareness of, and to some extent immunity to, advertisements.

Vary your content a bit more and see how it affects the CTR. Example: geeks love cheap software and shareware - if you have some content helping them find valid sources for these items your content based ads will change and you may get better CTRs. Just be sure what you offer is well worth the click or visitors won't be impressed (neither will Google).

Rotate the places where you show ads and content as that will help in the blinding of your ads.

I think you should move the rectangle ad which is placed at the botom of your tutorials to become above the bookmark to, also change its type to links unit.

Kepp in mind that you'll need to keep trying until you hit the best combination of ads

hope this helps.

I think you need to place that ad you put on the bottom between the content. Camouflage it and you'll hopefully get good CTR. For me, a 300X250 ad in the beginning of the post works the best.

Note: See my site for the 300X250 placement. I've put it in most of my posts.

It does increase your CTR by putting it at the beginning of your content...

If you look at all my sites, i have it in there and my CTR has increased greatly!!

It is because if you put the ad in the most eye-catching position, you can easily grab the visitors' attention, and more likely to recieve clicks.

I think the placement and the colors are fine.
I agree with the "geek-ad-awareness-theory".
With this type of site you probably could make more money from affiliate programs that are related to your tutorials.
