After spending many hours searching for advice on Adsense and learning everything there is to know about adsense, i have decided to explain how i have managed to get my website earning a few dollars a day, after only two months, which i don't think is bad for a complete beginner.

I started off building a website that did not have adsense in, it was fully functional and built for the user, this helped me to build up a steady stream of traffic from the start, once i had completed the design of my website, i then decided to work on my adsense.

I tried many different ad styles and colors but, i now firmly believe that if you want to earn decent money from your website you need to incorporate your ads with your content, using an ad 250x250 or bigger. This generates a pretty good CTR, also blend the color of your ads so that they match the rest of your site. So have the link color the same as the color of the links on your website, and have the text the same color as your text.

I have gone from having a CTR of 0.20%, to 4.76% in the space of a week, and it is steadily increasing, as is my Earnings.

I hope this helps everyone who is just starting with adsense, but obviously the only way you can earn a decent stream of revenue is to have content that people want to read in the first place!
