Hey all, you seem like a nice bunch of productive and experienced people, so I wanted to get your advice. I have recently opened up a website and would like to know whether it would be accepted into the google adsense program, and also if you are rejected, can you apply again later?

My website gets around 1000 hits a day according to my web provider and is here:

www.drjambi.com (EDIT: This is in NO means a desperate attempt to get hits, I really would like some advice)

A few things that will be addressed before applying are the news articles (pretty sloppy atm), the marquee, products will be put on the store section, broken forum link will be fixed.

If you suspect that my site would not be accepted, could you please tell me ways in which I could improve it so it might get accepted?

Many thanks for your time,

DrJambi

Looks like you're already showing adsense ads. Did you get approved? If not, I wouldn't display someone elses ads.

The only way to know if youl get accepted is to apply and see.
If you get rejected because of the site then you can re-apply later for a different site or for the same site if you make changes.

Lol nope, I applied and got accepted in the time it took for someone to reply .

Also, my niche seems to be quite good, I'm making around 0.4$ per click and have made 12$ in two days

But thanks for the replies anywho

Thanks very much, my click through rate is very high though.

Around 12.5%, what could be causing this? And should I be worried that this is a high value?

I wouldn't worry about 12.5%. Long as they are not considered invalid clicks. Install a tracking program and look for repeated clicks from the same ip.

I use asrep.com ($50), but I hear adlogger works to and it's free. I don't know a link for adlogger, but I'm sure someone here does.

Hmmm kk, ill get right on that. How do I upload it my root directory?

Now I was wondering, how many clicks from the same IP would google investigate? Say someone came on, and clicked 4 adverts, should I report it? Or is this minimal, what's considered unreasonable?

I just want to have some advice on what sorta stuff to report if I see it.

Thanks all

I've had as many as 6 clicks from the same IP in the past, I get double clicks pretty regular. But the majority 99% are unique.

There is no published guideline of course. So just be sure to keep logs incase you get questioned about it. I never have, and have never had a warning either.

I've heard many new accounts get shut down pretty quick. I've been with adsense almost since it's beginning, so I don't know if that has any bearing either.

BTw adlogger is http://adlogger.org

No idea what would cause that ... but I really wouldn't be worried about a high percentage of such a small sample. As your site grows, attracts more ( and more varied ) readers, your click through rate should fall more or less in line with other sites, and with Googles' expectations.

You seem to be off to an unusually good start, so whatever it is you're doing right, keep that up, and enjoy the ride. Hopefully it works out for you long-term.
