Firstly, everybody is right. 50 page impressions is so low as to almost make it impressive that Google is even allowing their ads to appear on your site. With that kind of traffic, Google often believes (and rightly) that either you're visiting your site 10 times a day and you're telling your friends and family to come, with the remainder being spammers and cheaters. Where is your traffic coming from? Do you do any advertising, link exchanges, etc? Do you have a blogroll?
Secondly, Adsense isn't the best adserver for blogs. You might want to try
http://blogads.com/ - they have great bids and and solid program. They're a little more picky about who they let into their program (don't even try with the kind of traffic you have) but they tend to compliment content quite well, which leads me to my third point.
Thirdly, take a look at your content. Know your audience. Who are you writing for? Why? Are you writing on a subject that interests you, or on something you think might be potentially lucrative? If blogging is your hobby, then don't worry about money. If you want to make money, then be agressive. Start posting on topics that a) interest you b) have the potential to make money. What are interesting blog topics that make money? Funny enough, anything on SEO,SEM, etc. (which is slightly ironic). Celebrity gossip. Gamers. Porn. That stuff sells!
Fourth point - know your blogging tricks. Blogging isn't an art - writing is an art. Blogging is science. You need to write content that is searchable, the kind of stuff that organic search bots love. You need to write content that informative, original, and authoratative. You need to update your blog daily, even 3 or 4 times a day. You need a blogroll. You need media - try vidcasting and posting your videos on YouTube, then embedding the link on your blog. You need to engage in linkbaiting. You need to post on other people's blogs so people know about you.
