Hey guys! How are you all? Im new to Adsense and I made a Blog on Blogger and set up alot of ads and the search engine, and yet I have only made 1 cent. Any ideas how to improve my site and get more traffic?

Write about stuff that people want to read. Your posts seem to be posts for the sake of posts.
It also redirected me to shopping.com after about 20 seconds.

Those posts are my reviews of different sites. I need to post longer posts right? My revenue went up to 18 cents in the past few minutes. Im guessing you clicked on one of the adsense links. The reason it goes to a shopping website is becuase I have a banner at the bottom thats for a thing called "It's PTP" which rasies the revenue of your blog or website everytime the site or blog is searched for and clicked on and viewed. I can remove it though.

I didn't click any ads. Why would people want to read what you think of sites that they have probably never visited? Write about things that people like and things they will want to send to their friends and link to.

The length of the posts don't really matter. It's about quality, Not quantity.

I would remove whatever it is that redirects people away from your site. People aren't going to like it, And if they don't like it they aren't going to come back.

Your page just keeps reloading. Over, and over, and over, and oooooooover...I don't get redirected. Just reloaded.

When you get that issue fixed, I'll look at the site again...maybe. As of right now, you just turned me away in about 10 seconds.

I was in the middle of reading one of your posts when I got redirected to an online currency trader web site. I didn't even see yours long enough to give much comment on it. And I know that if I try to take another look, I'll be redirected somewhere else before I can see anything of interest. In other words, if your goal is to drive away traffic, it's working. Very well.

Like others have said, your posts don't have much in them to hold anyone's attention. This is your #2 obstacle preventing you from actually making anything, with of course #1 being the redirect. You need to write things people will want to read. That's the secret. Fake Steve Jobs writes posts that are hilarious, whether it's a few sentences, or a page or two. People visit his site because it's hilarious. Porn sites have content enough people want to see. Download.com has software people want. There's a common thread: no matter how different two sites are, they need content people want to be successful.

You reviewed some web sites I'd never heard of, and can't remember all of ten minutes later. Basically, find a more interesting topic. Offer analysis of the news, current events. All of a sudden it's fashionable to care about Darfur, so write about that. Or trends going on to reshape the internet. Be funny. Tell people how to accomplish Photoshop tricks. Something along those lines.

And loose the redirect!

I will remove the banner thats re-directing you guys. The thing is my reviews are to help people find ways to make money online, win prizes etc etc. The main goal of my site is to promote and show visitors quick and easy (fun in some cases) ways to add a bit of extra cash into their pockets. Maybe it's a stupid topic, but im a newbish begginer and I figured that would be popular. Im not too great on world events anyways.

I've made a new blog, which I spent longer to try to improve my first post, it's a current events and news blog.

After reading about being redirected all over the globe, I'm not going to click the links and have god-knows-what-site flash across my screen. So if you're trying to make money, that redirect banner thing just cost you the 17 cents you could have made off of me.

How to make money online is a horrible topic to write about, because nobody believes it. You learned yourself that the promises can be huge, but the reality isn't. So right off the bat most people ignore this kind of content as soon as they recognize it.

Also, I'm not sure whether you know what a "Made For Adsense" or MFA site is, but people don't think very highly of them. And when the only thing you talk about is making money, well, we can all see what's in it for you, but that doesn't really work if you need us to make your money. You have to offer us something.

Basically, and this might be hard to understand at first, the sites that make the most money in ad revenue are the ones that really don't seem to be in it for the money. 4 Guys From Rolla, anyone who's done .net programming knows about them, and they probably make enough from advertising they don't ever need to do any programming again. But they have something to say, and you can tell they'd still be shouting from the hilltops if they weren't getting paid to. It's because they have something to say, that people read them.

Im not just in it for the money but I would like to make some money. I took off the redirecting banner on the first blog, didn't include it in the second one, which talks about global news and such.

Also go and look to the link exchange section.Anyway my advice is to forget making money with Adsense.I made 50$ in 3 months spending 1000' of hours to promote it.I make more selling links on my blogs!

hi klajdi2 ... ya, its sad where most people dont get huge income from adsense. just that how much you could expect from small/medium quality traffic. still, its a good alternative ads. serve it next to your "text links" etc. No harm.

Of course,that's what I' doing.Also I get some money from Payperpost.com
