I am always asked "what is your best Adsense tip?". Here is my five best and most important Adsense tips:

- Less internal and external links on the page
- Having the ads with the same background color as the page background
- Having one leaderboard 728 x 90 text ad at the top and one at the bottom of the page
- Having one 300x250 text ad at the middle of the page somewhere among texts
- Well optimized pages with a good title, description, <h1> headline and ... .

I have not experinced any difference for the external links on the pages though I dont have many but internally I have links to pages where I have adsense and so I have not concentrated on such an issue.

More ad units has not worked for me for a simple reason your user has more chance to visit some of the less paying advertisers and so you should not be seeing good results

If you're trying to get some clicks, then I think there's only one "tip" or rather "trick". Camoflauge your ad like a sniper trooper and let naive and moron visitors fall for the trap.

I hate Google for not considering an update in their "old school" never changing design. Now, almost all the surfers are adsense blind and some of them have ad blockers. So, how are we supposed to get any clicks ? I hate adsense because of this.

Yes, this is a big problem. In fact our Adsense revenue dropped because users have learnt to ignore ads and specially Google ads. This is what I found out after few months that I had monetized my websites with Adsense.

But this is not the Adsense problem only. Most users don't like to click on the paid ads. That's why your website receives more traffic from the organic search results than the AdWords. Most of the traffic your site receives from AdWords is from your competitors who run the same ads.

Well, I would agree with Vahid. you won't get much traffic from Adwords. I remember using my Free $100 Adwords Promotion code to drive some traffic to my site and the traffic is gradual and not fast.

I guess Google should do something about this before most of the people get to know about this and Adwords and Adsense would be ditched. I think the new personalized search feature would be integrated to Adsense and Adwords soon enough. I think Google needs it to survive. Or else, it would die off. Anyone agree with me ? Its all about traffic - if you get good quality traffic, you will get adsense clicks, obviously some ads pay more than others, but thats down to your content

I assume that having a good content will rise to good ads..so higher clicks.

My best adsense tip is to not cheat their program and you will then be fine.

Other than that it would be good traffic and optimization of the ads onto your website.

I've been using adsense for only six months and yesterday I reached my all time high of $56. My advice is to use the channels (I think you can have 200 of them) and keep track of every ad/link unit you place. Review your channels to see what works, what needs to be improved. Make changes in ad placement. Make changes in color...

As 'sigmahotels' points out, the most important factor is traffic. Think about how you will reach the reader seeking the info you are offering. Clicks will come more naturally with good content and smart linking.

Right, you should use channels with each ad units, and then test them with different combination and placements. Then, select the most profitable combination for your site, coz different sites have different best combination and placement.

Traffic is everything. , changing the layout of your ads, position ... etc Without traffic will not get you any where.

As i am seeing, i have good CTR, just need the traffic to make it more worthwhile!

Well, they are equally important, and they are supplementary to each other in order to get big earning from Adsense.
