i dont see a reason y not. . . refferal program are 99.99% of the time pay out byu leads and sales, not clicks - so i guess feel free to yet dont take my word for it, i have not has much exprience with affiliates. . .
Normal referal links you can click, I wouldn't click adsense referal links though.
The adsense terms say you shouldn't click adsense ads, I guess that goes for all adsense ads.
well i have a bunch of computers and i want to download firefox, google pack, etc for each one
Don't do it through your referal link.
On a side note, Google have some interesting terms for referal links.
According to this page you are allowed to draw attention to the referal links, Encourage people to click them, Embed them directly into content to make them appear to be a part of your page and even alter the font style, colour and size.
but they also say
Quote:
you may not click your own ads nor encourage conversions for deceitful reasons
Why? Google tracks who clicks on ads (probably through IP addresses) and they have no way of telling if you’ve clicked an ad out of genuine interest or out of greed.
I mentioned previously how Google are currently being sued by advertisers over issues of Click Fraud - this is a hot issue for Google at present and I suspect they’ll continue to be tough on anything that even looks like it could be fraudulent clicks.
So what do you do if you see an ad that interests you or that you want to get the URL of so you can block the ad? Is there a way around having to directly click the ads? I’m told by my PC using friends that the Adsense Preview Tool might be something that could explore to get around this. It is a tool for IE 6 (and higher) users that allows you to preview ads through your right click menu (once installed). I’ve never used it (as a Mac User) but know of people who use it regularly and rave about it.
Clicking your own ads/referrals will definitely cause you major problems with Google; and yes, they do place cookies on your PC for tracking purposes -- so, why take the risk?
Yeah you can reccomend that people click referal links, And even encourage them to download the software by telling them how good it is. You can embed the referal code directly into your content to make it look like a normal link, You can even change the font size, colour and style to style it like your regular link (which i think it does by default anyway).
No you aren't allowed to do that.
Every time google serve the refereal JS link, Like regular adsense, They change the URL for tracking purposes and to prevent people copying a link and sending the link in an email, posting on forums and posting on blogs.
So everytime the page laods there is a different link.
