How much have you made from adsense using webmaster-talk adshare?

b/c no offense to anyone who may take offense

i havent made a single cent off webmaster talk.

just curious

who has?

yeah i've made nothing so far

I am getting impressions, but no money. Honestly, you need at least 10,000 impressions a day to make any real money. This means you either need to start a lot of good, quality threads or post like a monster. I recommend the first.

Overall, I think the site's ad positioning is terrible. They would be better off having the Google ads appear directly under the navbar, after the first post and in the footer. The top right of the site is one of the worst position sin my opinion. If you place it under the navbar people will see the ads when the use the navbar. If you place it after the thread is started, the ad follows your post.

Overall it is a great concept and I will probably incorporate this modification on many of my forums for my mods profit sharing plan. If they start threads they will get 3 impressions every time some one views their thread (navbar, after first post and in footer). Much more rewarding!

You are never going to make a fortune from an adshare program. But if you make a lot of useful posts, And more specifically, Start threads that are going to get a large amount of views, You should see money build up over time.

From what I've always read and been told, forums are poor performers for adsense clicks. Is that still true?

It might not be a lot of money, but it's not like you have to do any work for it either. Just join the program and post like you always do. If you make money great. If not what did it cost you?

Time unless you use to be doing this as you were doing.

I'm assuming that people would still be posting here anyway and not posting for the sole reason of AdShare.

I think if your only motivation for posting is the direct money you might make from the program you're missing the point of forums in general.

My view is I post here anyway. I spent a couple of minutes adding my AdSense details through my control panel and then I continue to post as I always have. I have no expectations of making a lot of money from AdShare. If I make anything it's great and if I don't then I just continue to post as I always do.

I think it's nice of Tim to give us all back a little something for participating.

I have to agree. The Adsense program for this forum is really just a bonus. This is a great forum and I generally come here daily and if I happen to get some money for doing so then great!

That's exactly how I see it jenyfari. It's just something nice Tim is doing to try to give something back to us. I post the same way now as I did before AdShare was here. If I make some money great and if I don't I'm not going to worry about it.
