Hi everyone,
I signed up to blogger & decided to put a few adsense banners on it, after I did one through the blogger control panel & got the below email
Hello,
You are receiving this email because you recently requested access to use
AdSense through blogger.com. In order to use AdSense features through
blogger.com, you'll need to give the site access to the ad
code and performance information in your AdSense account. To do so, please
follow this link:
......................................
If you believe you've received this email in error, or have any questions,
we suggest you contact the owners of blogger.com.
Sincerely,
The Google AdSense Team
Now when I click the link it takes me to a page which says:
The website blogger.com has requested access to your AdSense account.
Yes, allow blogger.com to access my account
No, do not allow blogger.com to access my account
! Important - you are choosing to deny blogger.com access to the ad code and performance information in your AdSense account. If you continue, you will not be able to manage your AdSense account through blogger.com.
Granting access will allow the website to do the following: - View your name, country, and email address
- Access your reports and earnings data
- Manage your account on your behalf
The website will not be able to do the following:- View or change your payment details or history
My question is, has anyone got this email before & why does blogger REALLY need access to my adsense account?
From looking at the email headers etc it appears to be genuine but I want to make sure.
Thanks
