I really looking for 1 good reference on ad placement to generate the most revenue and utilize my account...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated I have been making next to nothing for several months so I need to really examine the placement.

Go to the adsense help section. You can get a lotta resources there and there are a lot of adsense sites out there. Thats all I know, if you're asking me.

There is nothing that will do the job better than you can do it yourself by setting up channels and experimenting.
Every site is different and every site attracts different types of visitors, So nobody will know how ad placment will work on your site with your users.

Matt is right. The best advice is to set up channels and then test and measure and see what works best for your particular site.

Well, channel based analysis never worked for me. I don't know why. But, I do track stuff with heat maps and all. I can't understand what's wrong with channels in my account. I don't have a "whooping" income from adsense. I think thats why I don't get good results from channels.
