Unproductive Traffic Detoriating My Site !!

I've been working on my blog at www.webmaster-dome.com for quite a while and the most destructive problem I'm facing is that I'm getting unproductive traffic. I get a lot of traffic from the link building and SEO efforts that I've taken through the days. But, the traffic seems to be non-converted !!
I'm not getting any clicks. I know tech savvy visitors are little concious about ADs, but this is crazy. I got 1000+ traffic and no clicks !! And, today, I ran outta bandwidth and no conversion. I'm getting worried. If this goes like this, the site is going down BIGTIME !! So, if anyone can tell/advice me about doing something to raise my income, please tell me. Not necessarily about how I can improve my current blog. But, tell me any other niche where I can get some revenue or anything that would help me get money to pay my hosting bills.
Thanks in advance,
Sreejith

Are you using Adsense or Clicksor? Because I see a Clicksor ad on the home page of your site now and if you're using those idiots and their stupid contextual highlighting crap, it'll probably kill you.
Also, it looks like you're got a crappy host. I can't find their pricing info anywhere (all the pricing pages return 404s.) You can always find a better host with more bandwidth (or even purchase more bandwidth.)
Before you complain about the traffic, start with the hosting issue. Then see if any aspects of your design are leaking bandwidth, and via whatever stats your host provides see if they're just visiting one page and then leaving. If they are, then you've got an issue involving your site, not the traffic.

U see, I have clicksor on my pages but I can't understand how they got to my homepage. Clicksor sucks BIGTIME. I know that. But, about the host, you see, my friend is running that server and I'm hosting there because I trust him.
And, the homepage, its not fully designed. There are lotta problems in the SQL queries and all of that page. I inspected it and it is now going to upgrade some xHTML standards. Anyway, are there any good hosts out there ? I don't need VPS but some shared space. Midphase is worth a try but please tell me more about this and please, can you tell me a good idea to break away from my misery ?
How much do you earn from your tech-savvy traffic ? I think contexual advertising is dying off. So, please help.

I'd recommend taking a look at how people are getting to your site. IE look at the referer urls in your logs. If people are getting to your site via searches that have nothing to do with your site, you may want to revisit how you are getting indexed in the search engines. You are discovering that pure traffic isn't all its cracked up to be. Good focused traffic is both good for you and the users.
On to another topic, many would consider one click in a thousand page views pretty good. You also may want to re-examine your site code and hosting. A couple thousand hits a day should not be causing you to exceed you bandwidth with any kind of decent plan unless your pages are excessively heavy.
I'm seeing 40K of HTML plus about 70K in images (hosted by you) that makes for a pretty heavy page. Maybe trimming some fat out of the page, adding a filter to strip out excess white space, and removing and/or reducing image file sizes will help you support more traffic.
Just my $0.02

Thank you, Paul. You got a really nice point there. I've to take the fat out of my site. But, please tell me more about the "many would consider one click in a thousand page views pretty good". Thanx again.
Does anybody else have any other opinion or solution ?

Mates rates strike. I have to admit I haven't been to look at the site yet I read the thread first and as soon as it is a friend who is running a server there are problems, service and friendships can both suffer.
There are thousands of good reliable places to host that are trustworthy (it isn't worth their business not to be). That would be my first stop if I were you make sure that people can see your site when they visit if it is down then a visit is lost as is the click revenue that you could have created.
Completely agree with willcode4beer (which is the coolest name on the planet) if your page size is too high then not only will you chew through your bandwidth very quickly. Reduce your image sizes and take out anything that bulks the page out.
Hope this helps a little?
Steve

One example would be mine. But, I may be an exception.
Since my site is mostly developer stuff, at least half of my visitors had adblockers, and most of the rest have developed an advertising blind spot.
I'm actually making more from a handful of amazon links than from adsense.

Thanks, I've been trying to get the other domain for a while (for instead of 4) but, the guy who owns it has just been squating for about 4 years now.
I figured since it's what motivates us developers, it'd be a good name for a site with dev tips/tricks
