I am in the process of setting up an education info site, www.ukeducationonline.co.uk( feel free to look at it, but it is under devlopment!)
I want to display google ads across the top. If I type in www.ukeducationonline.co.uk/home.php (which is the home page as defined in my htaccess file) all is well and I get relevant ads. If however, I just go to www.ukeducationonline.co.uk (ie; without the home.php) I correctly display home.php, but adsense shows a load of wedding ads.
it's because domain.com/home.php and domain.com/ are different URLs and /home.php has never been indexed.
one of the reasons you should never link to the default document name

Sorry, I still don't understand - home.php IS showing the correct ads. It's the default url that's got the wedding ones. (and why has google decided it's a wedding site?)
I'm seeing the same ads now on the home.php page as I am on the main domain page. Did you recently place the ads on the site. It can take Google a week or two to understand what your site is about and start showing more relevant ads.
Yes it is a new site. I just don't understand why Google thinks it's a wedding site (I still get all wedding ads on url alone, then relevant on url/home.php.) Bizarre
