I can tell you I didn't do any of the things they say I might did.
maybe clicked on my ads 3 or 4 time but they should know that stuff like that happens.
well, forget it.
can someone tell me what's the next best thing? clicksor, adbright, whatever?
I don't know which one to put now.

thanks a lot

They do. Which is why they banned you.

Not much comes close to Adsense, but if you're site's relevant to one topic, try bidvertiser. And don't even bother clicking your own ads.

Oh I see - sorry about that!

That happens all the time to people on here. Lots of people agree Google should do something to prevent these clicks happening in the first place. It would be good if we could click our own ads (obviously without gaining money!!) to audit advertisers. After all, you can get rid of certain advertisers from your account (competitive ads filter) but Google tell you to just copy n paste the display text, which could be different from the actual URL.

Bit of a random rant there!

Except for YPN, nothing even comes close to AdSense. Adbrite is again looking for north american traffic. You may actually have less chance of getting into it. One of my site was rejected by adbrite, but accepted by adsense.

Just want to post a step by step guide from currenzes links. Works perfectly!

Edit the Hosts File In Your Computer

You can also block Google AdSense Ads by using the following simple trick. Open the hosts file in your PC with Word Pad/note pad and add the following entry in the host file of your PC:
  • 127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com
Once you save the hosts file and restart your browser, you will never see the AdSense ads while you are working on your AdSense web site.
You can find the hosts file from the following directory of your PC:
  • Windows 95/98/Me, c:\windows
  • Windows NT/2000/XP Pro, c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\
  • Windows XP Home, c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\

The problem with blocking adsense ads completely, especially when working on a site, is I *want* to see the ads because I need to know how the site will look, and where's the best place to put the ads.

I tried to get into Yahoo (a while back, while they were in beta), but no one ever got back to me.

Oh well. C'est la vie.

i got to tell you, Miva is much much better.
just take a look at my site and see how the ads blends in perfectly.
they are paying a little less per click than Google but it so much better looking.

what do you think?

I have to say I would not be happy if I clicked on a link in your 'Related Sites' section and got taken to a spammy looking directory. I thought I was being taken to a related site. Aren't you worried you might put visitors off?

They do blend in well though.
