Hai,
Will Google Adsense give webmasters credit for visitors who open Ads in a New window. It is beacuse I am pretty sure that I get more clicks than that I see at my account profile for my Travel Videos related site.
Can anyone throw in more info
Thanks
Binu
You can in FF too, If you right click and select open in new tab.
But there is no functionality in adsense it's self to apply a target="_BLANK" attribute to links.
When you say, you are sure that it receives more clicks than google reporst, I hear somethign fishy... hehe.. how can you be so sure?? if you or someone else is clicking the links delibrately, google have good mechanism to understand that. It may not report clicks from same IP within a duration.
In the programme policies it says "Clicks on Google ads must not result in a new browser window being launched." You won't get paid in that case.
so they're saying you only get paid when someone clicks on the ad and leaves your site. nasty. it's far more better when they always open in a new browser.
Actually most usability studies have showed that people would prefer that links on your site stay in the same window. They'd rather click the back button to get back to your site than have more than one window open.
Even if they do leave if you're site has quality content they'll come back.
As far as opening the AdSense links in a new window or tab the person clicking the link can do that like they can with any other link, but since you have no control over the code for the link itself webmasters can't force the links to open in a new window.
Yeah i read somewhere a long time a go that new computer users can be confused by links opening in new tabs.
Because peoples first reaction (when they are not familiarised with a computer) is to press the back button when wanting to go back to where they previously were.
But if the link opens in a new tab the back button is greyed out, they get worried, and close the browser.
Now that IE7 will be using tabs more and more people will probably be fine and less confused with opening things in a new tab. I think the current wisdom is if you're going to open something in a new window just let the visitor know before they make the click.
Personally I'd much rather open and close new tabs. I find it so much easier to browse that way. Sometimes I want to read that other page, but not right away so I can just open in a new tab and read it later instead of having to bookmark yet another site. I'm sure I'm (or any of us here) typically of most people when it comes to browsing the web.
I think that, we have digressed in the Discussion.
The original query was that , does Google give Credits on openning Ads in new pages ?
Actuallly I also have the same question
