Hello,

Has this happened to anyone else? For no reason, Google just banned my website one night when I came home I got an email from them saying I had invalid clicks, altough I didn't click any advertisements or anything.

I've heard that Google does this a lot, thats what my friends said that its happened to them too...

What are you opinions on this?

Were your friends clicking on the ads. I've heard from some people that Google just banned them, but most of the time I think there was some kind of manipulatuion going on with the clicks even if it wasn't the site owner making the actual clicks.

I think it does happen though. All you can do if you want to use AdSense again is email Google and explain why you think you still deserve to be in the program. At that point it's up to them. There are a lot of other advertisers out there though that you can also use if AdSense is no longer an option.

I agree that sometimes people get banned from AdSense for what seems like no good reason, but I do think most of the time those people either inadvertanly or purposely did something that was against the TOS for AdSense. Most of the time when you dig you'll find that the person wasn't clicking the ads themselves, but frends or family were.

I know it does happen though that people get banned for nothing that was in their control and unfortunatley it's hard if not impossible to get back into the program. shabbir does have a good list of alternatives on his site in the link above.

That stinks. MSN will have their own version coming out soon. I think it is called "Adcenter", but I'm not sure.

Yahoo has also been doing some heavy spending the last couple of years in an effort to make their ads more relevant to the pages where they're included.
