mtishetsky, where do you see it fobidden in the TOS to blend the ads to your content? I've generally seen Google encouraging people to experiment with the colors of the ads and possibly blending them. Just curious since I've never seen that. You can't modify the code itself other than a few things like colors that you modify through the AdSense interface, but it looks to me like Google encourages you to experiment a bit to see what works best.

Towards the bottom of the AdSense Optimization Tips page. Looks like they recommend ads that fall somewhere in between standing out too much or blending in too much, but I don't think they forbid either.

For some reason I cannot find that point right now. I think they removed it from TOS. But I definitely remember that there was something about "don't make your links be of the same font style, size and color as in our ad blocks".

You can make adsense block look like your site only by cjanging colors. You cannot change font family or font size of adsense blocks.

You cannot earn money you want with an article site.I think.

My native tongue is Javanese (not Japanese, okay?) and i never use English for daily conversation, but that doesnt stop you from making lots of money by english content websites ! There are too many freelancer out there hungry for JOBS.

Get 1 or 2 english speaking freelancer, and let them do the "dirty work", yes, there're more money you must spend but it's nothing compare to adsense revenue you'll get. It's just like ordinary business

And I agree that the language doesn't have to be a barrier to earning money. Like you said you can just hire out to someone who does speak the language.

I have to agree with quickpot too many people and even i have fell into the trap of buying junk websites of which there are thousands of.

Best way to make money on the internet with adsense or anything is the below

Custom idea,
Niche market,
Work **** hard,
Invest time/money,
Never expect to get rich quick,
Write a plan and keep to it checking it weekly to keep ontop of set targets.

And the biggie
Think big and to the future markets what will people be needing on the net in the future.

These are only my personal methods of thinking but it is good to set your own methods of working and thinking in business.

all i can say from my experience, and i get a very nice performance from adsense, is that:

1) dont try and cheat google in any way
2) dont cheat or manipulate your visitors into clicking ads, they aint stupid!!!!!
3) follow the google heat map but do not obstruct your websites main content or such
4) put the work into your site, and you will get rewarded
5) find your niche, make sure you are one of, if not the best site for that niche and get your site out there so people know about it and take some notice

AND FINALLY put ads on your site where the users eyes will normally fall first and/or last, (kinda had to work out i know, lol) not in the middle of big reads or sections, if they wana click off by the first impression of your site, make sure there is an option in the form of an ad above the fold, and after they finish reading/viewing what they want, make sure if they leave it earns you money, e.g. place an ad at the bottom of the main piece of text/content!!!!

IM SORRY IF THIS DOESNT FIT WITH WHAT PEOPLE NORMALLY DO OR RECOMMEND BUT IT WORKS FOR ME, SO I CANT DO NOTHING BUT RECOMMEND THIS!!!

Good advice hitemuprobbo. I hadn't really even thought about the idea of placing the ads in the places visitors are likely to look first and last on your page, but it makes a lot of sense.

I have found that ads in the content can work though. I seem to get my highest CTR on the ads emebedded in my content. Of course they are also above the fold and in an are that the visitor is likely to see upon first encountering the page.
