I have had 18 clicks on my website www.arcadeland.net and got $1.44 from it. This is really bad and i also get 0.3% of people click on the site and less.

Why is it this low and this bad?

That averages $0.08 per click, which although isn't great, isn't absolutely terrible. Chances are your site's subject happens to have low paying advertisers - maybe there's not much profit in the market.

0.3% also isn't a particularly bad CTR; mine sometimes reaches this. To increase your CTR, try to merge the ads in with your layout as much as possible. The Google Heatmap shows the best locations, too.

you may want to experiment with different ad positions / ad types / ad colors, which may help you improve your CTR. Improve your ad relevance can also improve your CTR.

For EPC, since you've your site topic already, it is hard to switch to higher pay keywords. However, you can still try adding filter in your adsense panel to get rid of some MFA / low pay ads.

MFA stands for made for adsense. I've usually only seen the term applied to sites that exist only to serve adsense ads without offering any content of their own.
