You can place any other adverts on the same page as adsense, as long as it isn't a contextual advertising program.

So as long as it isn't another ad unit that show adverts relevant to content (like adsense does) you can display it along side adsense.

And if I'm not mistaken you can use other contextual ads on the same site, but not on the same page as AdSense. Any other types of ads are fine though.
