Might just be a good day or some some new source of traffic has come your way. I know the adsense servers were down on and off over the weekend though I never could find out why. A did see a lot of people reporting lower impressions for a couple of days.

I'd say see where you are at the end of the day and where you are again tomorrow. It might just be some new traffic which wuld be great. If today's impressions seem totally out of whack and then go back to normal tomorrow it might be worth looking into.

Interesting.

I also had double impressions & earnings yesterday... but I'm not complaining

Probably because I enabled image ads.

Adsense seems to be working fine again.

still going mad for me , ive added a channel in google for my website :
www.frodop.com i only publish ads on this website , but in the adsense reporting the channel shows 300 impressions but the overview states over 1000?? Any idea how i can investigate where this traffic is coming from , ive checked google analytics and the vsisits to my site are at the normal level no massive increase?

It looks like you have more than one block of adsense on a lot of your pages. So if someone views that page it would count as more than one impression in the overview. Your channel will only report the impressions on a given block of ads where you set the channel.

It depends on how you set up your channels as to what numbers you'll see, but the channel and overview are reporting two different things. One is reporting every impression on your site. The other is reporting only the impressions on the code for which you set a channel.

It's quite likely what you're seeing is perfectly normal for the way you set up the channel.
