Google canceled my AdSense account

Google decided yesterday to drop my AdSense Account accusing me of using a robot to click the ads on my site. I didn't even know such a thing existed.
They are telling me that they will not be paying out last months money owed or anything that was earned this month. This really hurts since the money is in the low 4 digit catagory per month.
I can't get anyone from Google to contact via email or fax which is their only method of communication. It appears that this is their final decision, and there is nothing I can do about it.

Has this happened to any of you? If so, were you able to get the AdSense turned back on?

It happened to me a few months back, i also had no idea about getting bots/scripts to click ads,

I got a couple of replies from them but they just stopped replying suddenly so i just forgot about it and looked for similar ad programs.

I never got my account reactivated or paid, and when i asked if it was possible for me to reapply they said some stuff about protecting their advertisers which i fully understand, and said i wouldn't be accepted if i reapplied, but i was still annoyed at my account being closed.

My advice would be just to forget about them and find another company.

Its never happened to me but I have heard of it happening quite a bit and your story is typical, they cut you off, don't pay you, don't respond, thats just it. They suspect fraudulent clicks whether by a robot or a human and they just cut you off.

I'm on the other end of the transaction, I advertise with adwords and they take the opposite stance on this end, I had a competitor click my ad several hundred times so I would have to pay a huge bill and they even acknowledged a huge amount of clicks all coming from the same IP address but they still charged me for every single click, pretty crooked if you ask me.

Google sucks, thats all there is to it!

They are like "we are unable to publish how we monitor clicks" .. im like then how do we know that you are lieing?

That's awful! I had no idea they'd be so bad! Low 4s? On my first site it took me 3 months to get to $100 and they coughed up!

Write a very formal letter, accusing them of fraud. Whoever you talk to, demand to talk to somebody higher up!!

i thought google only excepted like a set number of clicks per ip address on a given page per day! if not thats what they should do, that would solve everything.

Yup, this is what i thought. The thing was im in the UK, so the money kept buiding up..

Anyway i got the pin from google the other day. I think they where looking at accounts and mine had a very large ammount of money on it, because of three mothis of not been able to transfer it to my bank account, since they it toooook so long to send me the pin thing.

The reason i got to much is that i host three popular forums for free, theirefore put google ad on bottom, and they where lookely very related to the content of the site. So people clicked them. ANd i got it on my great entertainment website:
http://www.nuweb.co.uk

So they canceled it.

For $200 i see no point as the cost whould be more. Also i am sure that they had multipul lawyers writeing their TOS preventing some teen with a lawyer to do anything.

After i removed google ads, people started viewing ore and more pages of mine, as the adverts put people off in many cases. In the future i will put adverts back on, but for now inceaseing public knowledge of my website seems a good idea.

So here is an update...

After 4 days I got a response from Google saying:
"Google does reserve the right to terminate an account for any reason, including invalid click activity from any source. We appreciate your understanding."

From ANY source?? Does that mean if I randomly select a site and start clicking the ads on their page that they will have their account terminated?

They say they are doing this to protect their AdWord advertisers... We spend about $1700 per month with AdWords. I'm sure that we have had clicks of this nature on our ads before, but we have never seen a credit.

If they simply said we will pay you what you have earned until the beginning of this month, and we are discontinuing our contract, then I wouldn't have such a problem with this, but they are supposed to be sending us a check for over $1000 from last month and they are saying that they will be keeping that money. How do they have that right?

If we receive this check for last month, then we will just drop this. But it looks as though they will not be sending that check. After reviewing this thread, it appears that this is happening to several people out there, and I am positive that there is an attorney out there who would love a class action lawsuit against Google.

How in the world do you make $1,000 a month off Adsense? I have had Adsense on my site since Decemeber and I am now just getting near the $100.00 mark. My site is a PR5 political site and gets a good number of visitors.

I see no one saying they have made that much!!

Google is a very good business, they use sneaky tactics and things. Good for them, bad for us.

I had the same problem. My account was around $80 or so, I was looking forward to getting my first check, then all of a sudden they cancelled my account and sent me an e-mail that there were invalid clicks. It took me over 2 months to get to $80, If i was making invalid clicks im sure it would have happened alot faster. Sent them several emails, no response. On the bright side, Yahoo is currently Beta testing their version of adsense... and I hope they take over the market!
