I just started using adwords, and have only made $30 so far (but JUST started)
One thing I dont get - its like it dont always pick up on the keywords and the content on the page. On one of the sites I run adsense ( offroad site ) it gives me adds for womens clothing and funny pictures Funny pictires and womens clothing is NOT mentioned on the whole site at all

another question - does it take the destination of outgoung links on the page into considerration when selecting the adds to run?

I would assume you are talking about Adsense than adwords.

Also It takes into account the anchor text that is present on the page as that is also the content of the page
