For a long time now I've been receiving extremely low CTR less than 0.5% consistently. I have done many things to integrate the ads into my site. I've made the ad background the same color as my page background. The link color and text color are the same as all the other links and text throughout the site. They currently flow next to my pages content with no border so they look like they belong even more. I mainly use the medium rectangle and the wide skyscraper formats.

I realize I will most likely not reach a nice 1.5% CTR or higher as I have many return visitors as I run a webmaster resource site that have over 100 tutorials. However I would really like to achieve a CTR arond 1%.

Nothing much as of from your part you can do to increase the adsense clicks but yes if you can target some keywords related to money they have higher amounts coming in your account.
