i got my adsense account suspended on 29th of April.

lemme start from the beginning.
my site did not generate any more than a 100 clicks a day. but on 25th April it generated 28000 clicks!!
VERY OBVIOUSLY someone used a bot on adsense on my site.

I mailed google IMMEDIATELY UPON NOTICING THIS.
The email i sent out was: (yea, its unprofessional but what the heck!)

Subject: sabotage attempt
Date: Tue, 26 Apr 2005 02:51:47 -0000

i strongly feel that my account with you is being targeted by someone who
doesnt want me to stay in business.

i got 28000 clicks on ads on saturday which by no means compares to the
number of clicks i generally get which is just around 100.

I just wish to clarify my position that i was in no way involved in this
bizarre clicking and if google wants it can confiscate my earnings for the
day.

But do look out as to who is the person clicking like this on my ads
because ultimately it will be ME who will be blamed for click-fraud.

After 1 day (on April 27th) i got Google's reply, saying:

automated systems and human reviews to monitor clicks on the ads. Google's
technology analyzes clicks to determine whether they fit a pattern of
invalid use intended to artificially drive up an advertiser's clicks or a
publisher's earnings.

We look forward to your continued participation in Google AdSense. If you
have any additional questions, please feel free to respond to this email.
We will be happy to help in any way we can.

Come April 29th and Google suspended my account
I GOT NO MAIL WHAT-SO-EVER FROM GOOGLE'S SIDE!

on being contacted as to why my account was suspended/cancelled, Google replied with:

It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on the ads on your web pages. We have therefore disabled your Google AdSense account. Please find our email of April 28, 2005 attached below:

A publisher's site may not have invalid clicks on any ad(s), including but not limited to clicks generated by a publisher on his own web pages, clicks generated through the use of robots, automated clicking tools, or any other deceptive software.

Practices such as these are in violation of the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions and program policies, which can be viewed at:

I was obviously disgusted with this reply. When i had informed google beforehand that a bot had INDED been used on my site by someone else and even asked them to confiscate my payment for that day and investigate the matter, all Google does is to kick me out!

i have mailed them 4 times in past four days. The last of my mails being a hate-mail:

i am really sorry to say that google is not at all transparent in its activities and it seems there is some serious communication gap between your deprtments.

while one dept. mails me and assures that "We have noted
your input and will continue to monitor the situation.", the other dept notices the SAME thing (that of invalid clicks being generated) and suspends my account!

i would appreciate if you could a good reason for suspending my account other than the "invalid clicks" which i already complained you about and even asked you to take away my payment for that day. (As a proof i am replying to the same mail in which you have replied to my complaint).

i guess i have a valid point here, and my suspension should be revoked as soon as possible.

Just for the records, google has not replied to last three of my mails. i sincerely wish and hope that this wont be the fourth.

From what I've been told, once you get that dreaded "invalid clicks" email, they stop reading your emails and there's nothing you can do to get your account back. It's a stupid policy on Google's part, but hey, life's not always fair.

My only advice would be to forget about it for now, and sign-up again with a different email address in a few months.

I know how you feel I have had porblems with google before and when you email and talk with them its like each email you send is going to a differnt person each time and then in the end you get screwd over... Maybe you can open a new account or somthing thats what i would do if i lost my account.

my friend lost his adsense account to the same reason "invalid clicks" for (AGAIN!) no fault of his.

but atleast they replied to him. "sorry....."
"we hope....."
etc etc

i will OBVIOUSLY sign up for another account.. but HEY! IT SUCKS!!

and i hope to blow this issue out of proportions now, so that some Google (influential) guy notices it and the matter is put to investigation (of any sort), whtever the result may be...

did not expect this from a big name like google.

no wonder they are making profits... its at the cost of publishers like ME ..

Maybe somebody should take note of this thread and post a link to it every time somebody starts a thread about these "paid to surf", "autosurf" PPC fraud programs.

one thing i can do is to put "scammer" in the anchor text and point link to Google adsense .. LMAO!!

i have MANY sites whos admins are my friends and would sneak in that anchor text anywhere on there site :P

i dont know what caused it to be back... but i had thought may be.. JUST MAY BE.. if i try to make this issue a NEWS.. a proper news (because i knew i was right) google might just review my case for the fear of denting its reputation.

so i guess google indeed is fair and transparent. but you need to push hard for your cause... VERY HARD!

From my experience, Google seem to have human beings behind Adsense and robotic machines behind the search engines and Adwords.

I emailed to those 3 'departments' and only Adsense replies my e-mails.

I say all of us who've been unjustly banned from AdSense start up a "Coalition of Clickers" and click the hell out of every AdSense ad we see. Let's get the world banned from it and force Google to rethink their plan.

This is obviously a joke. I wish no ill-will unto those of you able to make this flawed program work...I'm just a little pissed that it didn't work for me!

my account is still working good after being suspeneded once (as already notified here).. write to them.. they do hear.. as i came to know in my case

That's the thing about most people out there who have Google Adsense imprinted in their minds as the enemy. You have to understand they are under constant pressure from click fraud and facing lawsuits because of the problem. And it's only understandable to say they have several departments handling this rising problem, so if there is indeed a miscommunication the publisher need only to persist until they find where they made the mistake. This is what happened to chillax here you see he didn't immediately give up after a couple of emails he knew he'd been wronged and fought it. This is not a company that's out for itself we all know they share the revenue to us publishers more that any other publishing program out there. I see no reason for them to do us any injustice whatsever.

Yeah they suspended my account too. They also didnt reply to my mails. I attempted to resign up for my new website but they indicate that my website doesnt fit into their qualifications. Now i'm currently running Bidvertiser . It sucks. But can anyone give me some other good PPC engines.

You'll have the best chance of getting a google employee to read it plus you'll have the advantage of making it more public.

Obviously someone wants you out of the competition, so he used a click-bot to take you out. He then reported you, before you could even have reported to Google. That's most likely what happened.

Despite of what all we do, this problem wont change. I think that all of us webmasters should be in good terms and should maintain that sportsman spirit. We should have some association of some kind( which is just to poor webmasters too ) to look into these matters and generate public opinion.

And, I dont think clicking and making other adsense users banned is the right way to get about. You see, we all are webmasters and some of us(like me) depend a lot on adsense earnings. We all are striving our level best to be legit. If u feel sad on losing your account, think of the webmaster who u screw up. He loses his account for someone else's fault too. This isnt right. This whole thing has to be worked out.

You see, as for chillax's case, his account was restored because of his humble emails. You should know that google adsense is run by humans and humans know which is good and which is bad. And, as they are the bosses, there's no other way than listening to them. If we get everyone banned, maybe google adsense will stop and all those sincere and poor webmasters out there will be thrown to misery.

So, pls....whatever you do, never backbite other webmasters bcuz thats the whole point of webmaster-talk; to spread unity among webmasters !!

I doubt many webmasters would boycott adsense just because someone they don't know got banned for unrevealed reasons. I certainly wouldn't.
