If you're a publisher, Google is requiring you update your privacy policy. Easy enough, right? But not when you're allowing third-party ad serving! Opt-out or you will have to add the following to your privacy policy:
1. Notify your site visitors of the third-party vendors and ad networks serving ads on your site.
2. Provide links to the appropriate vendor and ad network websites.
The last I checked there were 388 third-party ad networks! You'd have to list each one and locate the URL for each....REALLY? And new networks are added frequently. I think G is out of their minds! |
