I'm becomming rather interested in using ad-sense... what kind of results are you guys seeing. I'm not looking to gain money here, but it would be a nice bonus for marketing campaigns if I made a reasonable amount each month.

Also, if you think its a good idea, where should I put on my site? (placement wise)

Its a good idea, but adwords are short term, the best marketing campaign is seo

Its not a bad idea to put the adsense but mind that
If your site does not have the content as its very much targeted you can loose the visitors by visiting the ads.
Another way of looking at the above point is if your visitors is looking for something not on your site its good for him to see that ad and let him be there which has the content looking for and you will gain some cents for the loss.
I have been using adsense for about 5 months now, and to date have only made about $5.00 I'm not sure it is worth the trouble, but I haven't really established my site real well yet.
If you are running adsense in your site, be mindful that competitors ads can appear and cause you to lose potential customers. Use adsense as a complimentory income for content-rich sites that you may have.

Like I said, I don't want to get into exact numbers....I will say though that my site makes no where near 2,000 uniques per day. They don't investigate on what you put in the form....
