Does anyone know how much of a cut Google takes on their adsense? (including and excluding targeted marketing value)

What I really mean is, if you are making $100 a month from a generic banner, but you replace it with a Google ad(s), what is the difference in revenue?

Do you make $110 (because it's targeted), or do you make $90 (because even with the targeting, Google takes a cut)

Hmm...

So you're saying if your Google ad is making $10 a month, and you replace it with a banner from someplace.com you will make $100 a month from the same adspace?

Or were you just being cynical and I didnt get the joke...?

Intent was google takes the lions share of the revenue. You can figure what the space is worth based on page views. Ads typically sell by the 1,000 views called CPM (I'm sure you already know this) ... going rate for CPM vaires a great deal. I've seen good commercial sites hold price at 8-12 dollars and other sell for $2.
My CPM average using google adwords is around $3.20 -(the adword reports do a click to CPM calculation for you.
