If you weren't using adsense before and decide to start using it you should make sure your site is up to date with Google's rules. Once you start using it they scrutinize your web sites in more detail. Make sure you don't have large blobs of hidden text.

Adsense it's a good opportunity for all webmasters - from Africa (where a usual employee win about 30 cents / day) to all over the world. You need just patience and luck.
