I posted this on another forum as well so if you see it there don't assume I'm copying content, I am looking for valid feedback. I think I found a way to use Hubpages to earn pretty well.
I'm not going to explain everything that I've planned in the past weeks. But I had been doing a lot of research on niche blogs/websites, earning on hubpages, keyword research, and SEO techniques.
I thought up a plan that I think could work extremely well but would definitely take some feedback from those experienced with Adsense.
aka, no offense but IF YOU ARE NOT OR NEVER HAVE earned much from Adsense, no need to post suggestions =P
So heres the plan I've set up.
*2-4 Hubs per week
*Each hub treated like an individual niche website (1-3 days of research and writing, atleast 10 pages worth of content)
*SEO performed for 1-2 days after each hub is published including 1-2 ezine article backlinks, 2-4 social bookmarks, and 5-10 directories
than move on to another hub
The Pros
* Unlike most niche blogs you start, Hubpages Hubs can rank on the #1 page of search results within 24 hours and without any SEO.
* If your hub does get ranked on the first page of the 10 hottest hubs, you get hundreds or thousands of visitors a day from Hubpages alone.
* It is really easy to add adsense, kontera, ebay capsules, and amazon capsules to your Hubs as well as pictures, videos, and links.
The Cons
* Some directories and social bookmarking sites don't allow links from Hubpages
* You can be banned at any time (however I've heard they don't delete your work, simply unpublish it so you don't lose it)
* You share revenue with Hubpages (you get 60% they get 40% of impressions/affiliate earnings)
* You can't make any super unique graphical changes to hubs
* This is rumor but I've heard while it is super easy to rank on page 1 of results fast, most peoples hubs never achieve a pr of 5+
Any thoughts on this ? if treating a hub like a website and working to get each hub making $20 a month than making another one and repeating would work ?
I realize it is better in the end to just register your own domain and go from their. But I already know that works, I want to try out Hubpages methods. The positive of Hubpages would be 1. I can make as many hubs as I want and don't spend $10 and lose it if a Hub doesn't work unlike if you were making niche websites. and 2. I wouldn't have to spend $90 a year on hosting.
