changes to adsense currency?

As of two days ago when I logged into adsense it allowed me to select myy currency in £'s instead of $. Is this happening worldwide?

Seem Google has started to pay in local currency for several countries.

Not that I'm complaining - my earnings per click in £ are now way up per click than they were in $!!!

Yes i am also getting my Adsense pay in my local currency. i think its available for other several countries as well.
