I recently put AdSense on a hobby site of mine. The idea isn't really to make any money off of it, but I would kind of like the site to cover its own hosting fees.
I was wondering if people had any tips on AdSense formats and positioning that have a reasonable chance of catching users attention while at the same time not being too obnoxious or distracting?

There's a "leaderboard" banner on the top of page, along with a tower to the left of the search results. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, there's also a thin link unit right above the tag cloud. |
